*grin*

“I’m reorganizing my bookcase, sir.”
That's very Hathaway ...

“Childhood secrets? Young love?”
And this I can hear Lewis saying.

Really nice twist at the end ;)

I did the same as a child - mirror writing in my diary. But no latin ... glad I only had to do this for my studies and not at school as well ;)

Thanks! I'll always happy when someone tells me I got the voices right.

Mirror-writing is not something I could ever do. I got the idea from Leonardo, though his writing was in medieval Italian. It struck me as the sort of thing that would appeal to James, rather than more modern cryptography.

I can so see this happening! Robbie really should have known he wouldn't be able to read it, when James wasn't protesting very much.

Heh. He should have known as soon as he saw James's name on the cover. Secretive and brilliant, his sergeant is.

Heh heh heh. Hathaway sure pulled one over Lewis there - and it does seem like something a geeky young James would do. This was great!

Thanks! James must have been a little terror behind the Head Boy veneer.
